For nearly 30 years, members of the Spruce Creek Garden and Nature Club have gathered to learn more about our environment, plants, nature, and about becoming more responsible participants in our world. We do this with monthly meetings and day excursions. Each month the Garden and Nature club presents beautification awards for landscape improvements.

Dan Cole will speak to us about the Disney Wilderness Preserve. The Nature Conservancy’s 11,500-acre Disney Wilderness Preserve near Kissimmee stands as a testament not only to Disney’s love of nature, but also to the power of cooperation, perseverance and innovative thinking. Perhaps most significant, the preserve has become a national model for sustainable development and state-of-the-art conservation management.
February’s menu is Cardamon glazed baked ham, scalloped potatoes, cranberry sauce, small salad, rolls and butter. Strawberries and cream for dessert.
RESERVATIONS: Luncheon cost is $20.00 for non-SCCC members. If you pay by check, (no cash please) make your check payable to “SCCC”. Luncheon cost is $17.00 for SCCC members; you can charge your meal to your SCCC membership account. Write your name and membership number on a slip of paper. Place check or slip of paper in sealed envelope. Both can be mailed or delivered to: Connie Oortman at 2757 Autumn Leaves Dr. in Four Seasons. The Garden Club basket will be out until the deadline at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday Feb.6. No exceptions. Please do not call Connie or the club office with your reservation. Again, please inform Connie of any food selection changes if you have dietary restrictions. As always, guests are welcome to our programs and luncheon.
